How to turn lyrics into a song
You have the words. Here is how to get a finished track with vocals: formatting, section tags, picking a voice, and what to fix on the second pass.
If you already have lyrics, you are most of the way there. The gap between a text file and a finished track is smaller than it used to be.
Format them first
Models read structure. Give them structure.

the turnSection tags in square brackets are understood by every major model. Without them you get a shapeless take that never lands on a chorus.
Keep lines short
Long lines get crushed into a bar and come out rushed. If a line does not fit comfortably when you say it out loud in four beats, split it.
This is the single most common reason a good lyric sounds bad sung.
Describe the voice, not just the genre
“Pop” is not enough. Say who is singing.
Good: female vocal, breathy, mid-range, slight rasp, 90 bpm, sparse production.
Bad: pop song.
The genre sets the instruments. The voice description sets whether it sounds like your song.
Expect to run it twice
The first take tells you what is wrong with your formatting. Usually one of:
- A line that is too long
- A chorus that does not repeat enough
- A bridge the model treated as another verse
Fix that and run it again. The second take is usually the one.
Then keep going
A track is not a release. Once the song is right you still need cover art and something to watch.
